Audio upgrade

I know this is a lot to ask, but is there any way of upgrading this system to an Apple CarPlay one? I’d replaced the radio in my last Saab with a CarPlay head unit and had got used to it!

Not mine , essentially it's an android unit but can be converted , like alot of things these days have duality to appeal to both markets .

I have installed the 10.25" Android unit in my C207 E class convertible. Did it about 2 years ago now. Best change I have made to the car and stopped me selling it. Fairly straight forward to fit yourself.

Mine is currently out as I am changing the GPS to use the car feed through a splitter rather than the one that comes with it.

Thanks for that. I need apple CarPlay on mine though the head unit I put in the Saab was both.

Seems like a sensible project during lockdown!

They do have Apple Carplay as well, they are Android Units though so can run all the apps natively.

I replaced the Dynavin unit in my ML with a new android unit in Feb. Then bought a usb CarPlay adapter (carlinkit adapter on eBay) to get better integration with my iPhone. Works very well.

I wanted to try to replicate the setup that I get from the comand system n my CLS. Best of both - CarPlay and Android

Mine came from Chris at CKM Designs https://www.ckmcardesign.com/ but this was when they were pretty new on the scene. Loads of help on the US forums now for these and you can buy them in the UK or direct from China for less than it would cost to get them via Chris. If you want the support then Chris may be a good option.

I’ve noticed a lot of the upgrades on YouTube have a clock in between the vents but mine is the ‘older?’ One with the hazard light button. Whilst the end product looks good, I’m not sure it would be compatible.

These work with all versions of NTG in the W212 W207 ranges. Mine is an NTG 4.5 2013 model with the harad light switch as you put it.

Discovered mine is audio20. Already has aux,usb and iPod. Been emailing Scott at integratedautomotive and he’s confirmed I only need the one unit IMI1000
