Hi

This is my first time on the forum, so hello to everyone. I've got a CLK 270 CDI, July 2003 model. I was just woundering can i upgrade from audio 10 to auido 20 without changing the wireing drastically. Spoke to local mercedes dealer they said probably no, but gave no real reason why. Don't realy mind if i can't use steering wheel controls to operate unit, aslong as it plays cd's. I can get it to physically fit myself. So any info would be appreciated. Thanks

If you are a competent DIY, don't see why not.

Extra harness is required. The audio20 got a CD player on it while the audio10got just a radio/cassette(??). If you look at the near side rear wheel in the boot, you will find an box. This is the box that controls the radio, phone, sat nav and TV. Different configuration requires different harnesses.

Thanks for the quick responce. I'll take a look in the boot, If i get the correct harness i should be able fit an audio 20. Thanks for the info i'll try and source the harness.
