Auto Boot issues, ML 2014

Dear Forum Friends,
Had a strange issue with the auto closing boot recently. When trying to close, it would lower and then raise itself to about 3/4 open.

Tried to close about 20 times same thing! In the end pushed it down manually and it closed.

I don't want to be stranded somewhere with the boot not closing. Anything I should be doing to mitigate a pending failure or can I put this down to a one-off glitch!?

Lubrication of the hinges is really important on W212's, please have a search on the forum as it's been covered a few times

Thanks taken a search didn’t seem to be quite the same issues. But may try the oiling.
