auto box 722.6

hi, had problems with my auto box and been advised to change the valve block, so have a new block with the electrical board waiting for me to collect from mercedes (£521) these are exchange units with a surcharge of £180. so i want to remove mine for the exchange. I have a few questions.

What gear to leave the box in for this work.
Do i need to do anything for disconnection of the plug to socket on the box prior to removing the ten bolts to release the block.
Are there any alignment issues to consider, and how do you make sure that the selector actuator on the valve block is aligned and any more tips i may need.

Be careful when doing this.

The elec plug is a 7mm socket.

The valve body is heavy so be careful and make sure the ltlle lever is aligned on the left when installing it. Leave in in N too.

It would be interesting to know specifically what problems you are having with your autobox and whether the eventual fitting of a new valve block remedies them.

i would be interested to know your fault as normal you only need to replace the electric pack in the gearbox which is a lot cheaper than the full valve bodyonly about £120+vat. If you have not got the part yet contact me on the web link below and i will try and help you .
