Hi, I have just purchased a new Drivers side mirror from ebay and need to know if it is auto dimming. The advert says it is but I have 3 wires coming out of my mirror casing and only 2 connectors on the mirror glass.

Could any post a link to a picture of the autodimm mirror glass or give me a clue as to where the 3rd wire connects to?

Thanks

Hi, it is a 2005 clk 320 with auto dimming interior mirror.
I've just tryed fitting the mirror bought from ebay and can't get it to fit!
The cable mounts on the mirror are on the outer area of the mirror but the passager side suggest that they should be on the inside.

Looking at mine, the auto dim mirror on the drivers side has a thick black rubber seal around it whereas standard heated one on the passengers side doesn't.

As jberks above and the glass is more golden looking, or darker, The ones that I have seen have 4 wires, but on a later car they could have a common wire for the 2 circuits
