On way home from work this evening, pulled out of a junction fairly quickly (no EPS caption though!) turning Left box did not change up the gears. Drove at 50 . 4500 RPM to nearest layby. Put gear selector in P turned off engine and restarted engine. Took off, same symptoms, stopped, waited 10 seconds and re-started, no faults on cluster. This time all was ok, except a strong smell of Oil, presumably transmission oil. arrived home, no oil on driveway all seemed fine. Any thoughts of where to start?

Thanks

The fault codes need to be read and the ATF level checked first.

A dealer or independent garage can do it for you.
