Auto Garbox Oil Leak

Hi

Has anyone experienced an oil leak in their gearbox. I have a Mercedes C180K (2002) and have been told that I have an oil leak in the gearbox. Can someone give me some guidance in terms of costs involved or solutions i.e. would mercedes cover this as a manufacturing fault or is it a wear and tear.

I have never had this before so would not have a clue on what can be done.

pilot bush, easy to replace and costs less than a tenner, and couple of ltrs of oil!!!!

Hello and welcome,,It is not normal to get a leak in a gearbox other than the sump or an oil seal and the cooler pipes rusting through at the front near the rad.

We need more details of where the leak is
