Hello folks

I need to replace the gear selector light bulb in an auto 300 CE 1991. Does the wood panel around it just prize up like in a 190 to get to the bulb housing, or are there some screws to release it? I think the bulb is housed at the front of the selector, but maybe someone out there knows a better way.

Many thanks

The only way to get to the selector lampis to remove the console.

Carefully prise up the black plastic trim around the shift and remove the retaining screw at the rear of the console facia under the carpet insert in the centre console. Carefully lift the facia and as you suspect you will see the lamp inserted into the front of the selector. Take care in replacing as all the switches have to plug in as the fascia is reinstated.

Good luck.
