Hello Peter,
The fault seemed to start after it had been serviced and new fluid put in
Do you have any ideas on why this should be.
The work was carried out by an ex Mecedes man and I have confidence that he knew what he was doing.
Any help would be much appreciated.
regards Dave

Hi,
In which case the only things I can think of is that the box might be starting to develop a problem with the torque converter or you might have a problem with the mass air flow sensor (if your car has one)

My car was showing some symtoms that looked like misfires and the gear changes were not really having effect although I would not have said they were slipping. occasionally the car would not rev past 3000 revs. But all of the problems could be cleared by simply restarting the car... and were never a problem once warmed up. Although I had not reallised howmuch power I was losing... My maf cost £215 from europarts...

MAFs are a pain to diagnose as they do not seem to log faults in the ECU :(
