Hi, I've had my '54' reg 220 cdi c class auto for 11 months now and I'ts been a lovely car with no problems at all with the exception of a faint clicking noise (as told on my only previous post) which I thought was under the dash somewhere but it turned out to be from the brake servo (when it was serviced the mechanic tested the servo and said there is no problem with it), anyway I had the car serviced, it was a 'a' service, collected the car and drove home (2 miles), next day I drove the car approx 5 miles, when pulling away from traffic lights the car didn't get out of 1st gear so I stopped the car and drove off again and it was fine and it has been fine up to now, it just happened the once, bearing in mind nothing like this happened before the service could they have disturbed something, I'm a bit worried because I had a Jaguar x type before this and I had to pay £2000+ for a completely refurbished gearbox, so I got the merc because of their bullit proof gearboxes and of course other things as well, I just hope I'm not running into a potential major gearbox problem again. Sorry for rambling on a bit, but any advice would be much appreciated.
