Auto Selector Cover Problem (E280 1996)

Hi

I have a 1996 E280 Elegance Saloon which I recently spring cleaned. Inadvertently, I managed to get some moisture under the plastic/perspex strip that covers the gear selection (auto box) ie P | R | N | D etc

Can anyone advise how I can remove the strip, clean it and replace it without damaging the strip or the trim?

If it's only moisture and not dirt, warm it gently with a hairdryer set to medium heat. You may need patience but it saves having to disturb anything!
