Hi again

It does seem that I can go for a while without posting on here and when I need to ask 1 question, I need to ask 100! One thing goes wrong another goes wrong!

Anyhow, I have auto wipers’, but strangely I was driving home last night and they started to go rather faster than usual for hardly any rain! Usually they are intermittent when its a drizzle but they were going as if it were raining a lot harder, any ideas/ways to deal?

Many thanks as always!

Auto wipers can sometimes misbehave, I would clean the screen well to start with, whether or not there is a fault its hard to say. Mine have the odd day and run differently

LOL Thanks Malcolm - (again!) All weird this, I have read the sensors for the lights are also located next to the rain sensor - funny how one light has gone also!

Am I able to remove the sensor and clean? if so is it a long job?

These are 2 different system with no connection. It is not possible to clean.

If the bulb blowing becomes a problem there is a mod kit for your car I believe, it depends on the build date, but for now just see how it goes

Hi Len, mine have the odd dicky fit too - but they're a godsend most of the time so I forgive them the odd misdemenour. After all, no technology is perfect.

Not sure on this as its never been asked, but I would imagine that it is the light output

The system is in three parts

The control unit, controlled by the light switch, this sends the signal to the ballast that drives the ballast units, the control box is also the monitor that gives you the info on the dash.

The ballast provide the arc to strike the lamps

Lastly the Xenon lamps
