Coming into work yesterday - spent a little time in slow crawling traffic and temp gauge went above normal; (the mark between 80 and 120 degrees). Noticed the car was not in 'correct gear'. i.e. moved off very slowly whilst asking for more revs.
Continued on and remembered the old trick the maindealer gave me of stopping in layby or somewhere suitable, switching engine off and taking key OUT and restarting. It all came back to normal !!! Its the second time its happened in 6 years.
