I have a 1983 300D and my heat works only intermittantly. My blower works fine but the heat itself cuts in and out, mostly out. It seems that if the car idles for a while the heat will work and when I drive it the temp will suddenly drop after 5-20 minutes. This isn't always necessarily the case though, sometimes the heat will work as it should for quite a while, never long enough to get where I'm going though.
