A few questions,
does the fluid in my automatic gear box need changing? (after 78k miles)
Is it a seal for life box?
I've got the service history for the car and there is no mention of it having been changed.

Thanks Tim

The 99 car will not have a drain plug on the torque converter but it is now recommended that the fluid is changed at 60k miles.

Ask for it even if the dealer says otherwise

Was an E300TD, now a Lexus LS400
Yes.
Yes but in reality no.
Buy your ATF, gasket, filter and sump plug + crush washer from the dealer only.

I thought the torque converter drain plug was deleted during 1999 so some early 99 cars could well have one, mine does.
