Aux in cable

I wonder if anyone can help I have 2007 clk coupe 220 cdi with audio 20 and I bought an aux in cable Part Number: A2104405005 after reading on various forums that this could be connected in the passenger side door sill area, but having stripped this down I found no white elec block to connect to as described, has the wiring spec changed for my model?:

Not entirely sure, but I think the connector in the door sill was only there for a short time, from late 2004 to early 2006. Don't quote me on it though.

I'm surprised you don't already have the 3.5mm jack in the glove box as I thought it was standard now.

apparently I'm unlucky to have bought a car that is just too late to have this option and too early to have it fitted as standard.
