Auxiliary Battery

Dear members
I have a 2015 E class AMG 220 Diesel car, low mileage. I have noticed Auxiliary battery malfunction on the dash. I have already changed the auxiliary battery in June 2018 and I am really upset that this happened again. I contacted the dealer who told me it is out of the 2 year warranty and they have to run test which may well be the battery or something else. The cost is between £200 to £450.
I thought the warranty is 3 yerars and not 2 years and is it usual to have the auxiliary battery fail twice in less than 5 years ?
Any advice please?

I would suggest buying batteries either from Tanya: https://www.tayna.co.uk/Mercedes-Benz-Car-Batteries or Halfords.

Both generally cheaper than dealers & Halfords offer a 5 year guarantee, just don't loose the receipt!

I laminate a copy & put it under or by the battery.

Erm, is this the auto stop start battery? Are you sure it is a battery and not a capacitor bank?

Can Someone advice if the warranty is 2 or 3 years from Mercedes for their original battery.

look at the receipt or call the dealer, ask for the parts dept and say you wanting to buy a battery and whats the warranty.

On my SL apparently the auxiliary battery along with some fuses is behind the driver's seat. There are two plastic covers that pull off then there is a metal frame held on by about seven torque screws. Does anyone know how this frame comes off so I could check a fuse, as I have removed all the screws to no avail.
