auxiliary fan

The aux fan on my 1996 e230 does not come on. The temp goes up past 90 and still nothing. Checked the fuse and its ok. Traced the fans wires to the air control module. Any ideas? Thanks

firstly are you sure you have a problem?

temps up to 100 are normal in traffic,especially in these heat wave conditions.

yup. fan does not come on at all even if the temp reaches redline

thanks for the link. Hardwired the fan with a couple of relays and powered by ignition system. Fan goes on as soon as I turn the ignition on. Engine runs really cool but does not really tell me what went wrong with the control unit. thanks for your help!
