AVOID THIS PLACE!!!
A BMW/Merc "Specialist?!"
Had my car in for Diagnosis. It was running rough, They told me it Needed a MAF Sensor, £270 part, £100 ish fitting, got this done there.
Then the problem continued, took it back, was at 1st tole to drive it around a bit see if it goes away!, i got back in car, and the problem was back, so i drove it straight into the garage, they looked and said its leaking air, turned out to be a £3.60 breather pipe, so now i have payed nearly £400 for a piece of pipe and a new sensor i didnt need.
Then when i got home, i decided id check the work they had done, 2 TORX screws that hold on the air filter cover were loose, one wasnt screwed in at all, just pushed into the hole..clearly showing!
I have no doubt that some of the older mechanics have good knowledge, and if you get the right person it would be ok, but there are alot of "17 yr old" proberbly cheap mechanics, that granted, not all are bad, but the majority are still learning, their diagnostic errors has cost me £400!
As a seperate note, if anyone wants a old MAF sensor, fully working though, its in the for sale board
