Ordered a B 200 CDI SE Sport (whatever happened to simple model designation ?) Ticked a few boxes and considering AMG 17" Wheels
Car intended as my Wifes and weekend family transport anyone got an opinion ?
Also booked Factory collecton any experiences ?:mrgreen:

say hi to Staffs - I was born in Stoke and lived in N-U-L.

I'm intrigued by the B. There's a strong marketing statement but it (the statement) doesn't apply / appeal to me.

However the car itself I think yes - I can consider that if it were in my segment then I could be persuaded, especially with some nice touches - black paint, nice wheels, sporty engine (ie a diesel!! these days). Enjoy.

17'' wheels look lovely - but just consider what the car will be used for.
The ride will be harsher, especially if you have the sports suspension and if it's primarily a shopping trolley, on local roads, it may be uncomfortable.
Plus, it is far easier to kerb 17'' alloys than 16'' ones.
But they do look nice!

When replacing 17" tyres I always check the side wall protctor rim, some makes are useless, others good. After 6 year of driving my V70, I changed the tyres to a make one third of the cost of the original 17" with a lesser protector and caught the kerb for the first time ever on the same day, that's sods law.

We live in the middel of nowhere so kerbing is not such a problem as aresubsided roads, as it's the Wifes I can Order with the "Style before function" ethos when it comes to Wheels LOL
