Your Mercedes
W247 AMG B200 (2020), A160 (2009) CLK270 (2005) SL230 Pagoda (1964, long gone)
Wiki tells me: 'The Mercedes-Benz A-Class E-CELL was introduced in September 2010. A limited production of 500 A-Class E-Cell electric cars will be built, for trial purposes, the cars will be leased to selected customers in several European countries.'
So what's happened? As far as that convenient small size is concerned, not a lot it seems.
I have a W169, very practical, but 0-60 after a while and an average of 35mpg. I'd like it to be electric - or preferably a PHEV as I have no driveway and no plug, but don't want to be caught short if I can't find a public charge-point in time. So this week I took a test drive in a BMV l3 EV. Great cabin design and super to drive, but ugly when you get out, looking a bit like an ink-blot. So then I look at Mercedes and can only find something like the EQA which is considerably longer and maybe wider. Do you think Mercedes will ever just produce a baby EV? Or, to put it another way, tell me what PHEV or EV to buy if i don't fancy the BMW. Thanks.
