Hi all,

Hopefully, just a quickie.

I've been trying to get the drain/fill up plugs out of the back axle, but the 'all purpose axle spanner' i purchased from Halfords, doesn't fit.

Any ideas what the size is or what i could use please?

Many thanks

Rog

Top tip.

Ensure you can get the filler plug out and THEN

remove the drain plug!!

Top tip 2.

Ensue you clean out the internal hex of the respective allen headed machine screws and that your key is fully inserted (a good tap to assist).

I went to my local dealer lookin for a tool to for the rear axle plugs. They can order a special spanner but it costs about £14 ( inc. VAT ) and they said it does both drain and fill plugs and also engine sump plug. May be worth it if you can't find anything else !
