Anyone know what's involved in changing the lighting in the climate control unit. Mines gone so impossible to see at night! Cheers

I had the same problem in my old C250TD, it was irritating, but only at night!
I took it into a specialist non-stealership who said it would be around 70p for the bulb and £50 to fit it as they had to strip it down to change it.
-However when I picked the car they told me, rather mysteriously, that they "had discovered another way..." and only charged me about £35 quid.
My wife picked the car up so I never found out how they did it - It was AMC in Garrat Lane, Wimbledon... if that helps

Climate light

Hi Guys

If your climate control unit is push button and has two small slots about 6mm * 1mm (one either side) you can buy a set of keys from your local stealer (about 6 quid) these are the same as the becker radio keys. this will allow you to remove the control panel the bulb is fitted in the middle of the bottom of the unit it takes about 3 minutes with keys.

35 quid for 3 minutes and you think the agents are the stealers !!!!!!!!

If you call into almost any dealer they will fit it free of charge while you wait.

AAgh!, now you tell me!, anyway i would still give AMC the benefit of the doubt they have saved me so much money over the years, in fact they just saved me over £200 over my local MB dealer prices, and the service is great and friendly.
