bad vibration

i have an slk 230 komp and ive recently drove over something- there was a bang... and now something is vibrating at 1800 revs.. its not the exhaust tho ive checked, the noise is coming from underneath passenger seat ..

The propshaft is about the only thing, one of the UJ's adrift? spider broken ?its got to be around there some where. something jammed under the shaft ?

Exhaust could also be possible, if the jolt has disturbed the internals when you have driven over something. Does it do it at 1800 revs all the time (ie in neutral, 1st, 2nd etc) or only say at 1800 in 4th gear?

Also, is the rear mount on the gerbox still OK ?
