How do you remove the flat type bonnet badge/disk on a r170 slk. are there clips on the back acessible by removing the bonnet insulation or do they just stick on?

I seem to remember seeing a picture somewhere that showed the badge pushed into a holder that was then bolted through the bonnet behind the insulation.
