long shot but someone might know. i've just swapped my 1992 190e for a 124 estate (230TE, 1991). i had bought a pair of lower front wishbone balljoints for the 190, but never got a chance to install them. will these balljoints fit the 124? would be very happy to hear that they do

ball joints

Hi
Why ,are the joints on your 124 worn out?, My 124 still has the original joints at 160,000+ miles, if not, then sell them on!!
regards Barnie

not sure, but driver's side lower suspension is creaking over bumps and when i press on the wing. passenger side ok, but if i'm going to end up doing one i might as well do both ... i think. i've only just got this car, so i'm still findingout what it needs. i'll squirt some light oil into the joint tonight, and i guess if it stops squeaking then that's the culprit.

Anti roll bar bushes are also a common squeak point on W124's....very easy and cheap to replace.

Cheers

good to hear it may be roll bar bushes ... will check them also

<off topic> guy came to buy my 190e tonight; we were doing the usual haggling over price etc, and the thought came to me that i simply didn't want to sell the car. nothing personal to him, he was a nice chap. but just the whole thing of it has been my baby benz and i have looked after it so well .... yet when i said as much, it sounded like some cheap sales pitch. ah well, this is the price for getting emotionally attached to a car i guess
