Banging Noise over Speed Humps C200k

I have recently bought a 2001/51 reg C200K Avant Garde Automatic with 73k miles and full MB service history to 65k.

The suspension on the car seems fine in normal driving but it does tend to bang a little at the front when going over severe speed humps. Is this just because the suspension on the C-class is soft or is part of the front suspension showing signs of wear?

Banging C's

I had a banging crashing on speed bumps and potholes 2000 (X) C320 - it passed its MOT then went to the Main dealer for B Service a week later and they found THREE broken coil springs!! Bearing in mind it started banging 8 or 9 months before I suspect at least one had been gone a while???!

Oh I live in a new development that used to have loads of nasty harsh speedbumps until the builders went.

I thought I'd mention it just to disagree as I'm an argumentative sort of bloke
