hi everyone, i have owned my bus from new in 1997 and put 213,000 miles on her, recently after negotiating a bend in the wet the BAS / ASR light came on. ? i had no skidding and pressing the ASR button on the control panel and rebooting the autobox as per limp home would not remove the warning light. ?
anyone out there know what could be causing this. ? many thanks. herbiemercman.

many thanks nwmerc and toby, my brake light switch is operating the stop lights and the auto module signal for safety starting in park etc, if the switch did fail on a one off contact operation bringing on the BAS / ABS warning light, then how does one clear the warning light on the dash display. ? or should i change the switch anyway. ? i have covered 212,000 miles. herbiemercman

For the sake of £11 change the switch. My brake lights were ok too.

hi toby, i will change the switch, as you say it's worth it to just eliminate it and it has certainly covered some switching over 15 yrs and 212,000 miles. i still need to know how to remove the warning light. ? may be dissconnecting the battery. ? herbiemercman.
