bas/asr light saga continues... HELP!!

More grief from this XXXXXX asr/bas light. posted problem of asr/bas light going on end of November on my e200/w210. got new brake light switch fitted, minimal cost. everything hunky dory, or so I thought, then hey presto! light starts coming on again, just after start up, or occasionally after a few miles. cruise goes down as well. this was a europarts equivalent, with what appeared to be a longer "plunger" than the one we took out. but what's going on?? can i try the turning steering wheel 3X to right & left trick? read somewhere this works if you drive after for about 25miles. or does that trick only apply if the light has gone on after battery disconnexion? i'm very confused. used to car being spot on & this is doing my head in! any suggestions, please?

think you need to get a mb one - visit your stealer, £12 approx.

merc part purchased & fitted & hey presto! everything fine now. so relieved, I can now go back to floating along the road without a care. thanks all.
