I have just bought a 1999 C250 TD will 104k miles manual transmission, however, there's no owners handbook with the car. On the left hand side of the dash the above (BAS ASR) warning light is on - can someone tell me what this is?

Also, should there be a red oil warning light, if yes where does it live in the dash warning lights - there's a amber warning light for low level engine oilwhich comes on with the ignation and off when you start but i though there should be a red light as well.

Cheers

If you only have the BAS-ESP lights up and not the ABS light then possibly turning the wheel from lock to lock 3 times may put it out. The other thing is a low voltage battery, where the voltage is too low for the system to re set, this is often cured by a re start, but not if the battery is pulling down the running voltage
