Hi all as the title says the bas esp and abs warning lights have come on my c220 cdi W202 . they started of intermittent but now stay on all the time, There's a new battery fitted and after reading posts on this problem a new brake light switch. I have also tried moving the steering wheel from lock to lock many times, has anyone got ideas as I don't really want to take it to the dealers thanks in advance jt

The chances are that the fault is only a wheels sensor, or broken wire on a front sensor, whey not take it to an indie, they are much cheaper than the dealers

There is a similar post on here to yours and it turned out to be a faulty steering angle sensor..

Ok just a update for the records, faults came back as,1 reinitiate steering angle sensor. 2 front right abs sensor faulty. I had both these faults corrected and now touch wood it seems ok, the abs ring was also rusty so needed cleaning up. Total cost £140 form a indie in swansea , thanks all for the advice
