Yesterday while I was driving, BAS ESP light came on and stayed on. When I stopped, I turned the engine off then restarted it again. This time the light did not come on, does it mean that my abs is faulty. It only happened once.[/b]
The switch is located at the end of the brake pedal you have to move the drivers seat right back remove the trim cover lie on your back and slide under the dash most adults wont attempt this let us know if you did .
also you will need to hold a small torch in your mouth to see what your up to
The guys are of course 100% right, it's certain to be the switch and it's a bit difficult to change, I'm 15 stone and 60 yrs but I managed the 'seat right back, slide in on your back with your feet in the air' technique, this was six months ago and my back still hurts when I think about it, but if I can do it anyone can. Out of curiosity I dissassembled the old switch and found a broken copper contact, with a bit of bending what was left I made a temporary repair which worked fine until I got a replacement.
