BAS/ESP Malfunction

I have a ML 270 CDi, 2000 Year Of manufacture, the BAS/ESP light is on, does anybody know what this is.

brake light switch probably
Under a tenner and easy to fit.

I second it, £8.75 plus a 17mm spanner and be prepaired to spend ten minutes working over the brake pedal.

Hi

I would agree most likley brake light switch after that speed signal or high pressure pump fail which is quite common on older vehicles, OK relax its not actually the pump at fauly just a relay in the fuse box from memory its K26 (but don;t quote me on that) stand at the front of the vehicle and open the fuse box rear most row second relay from right (don't quote me on that either) please note these change due to model and year
