Most common fault is a brake light switch (about £7), Although if it only faults when turning left, it could be a steering angle sensor. I think these come as part of the steering column on MLs.

thanx! it dose not come on every time i full lock just now and again it maybe a coincidence but i notice it on when i do slow turns in a confined space for example it also lights up when i drive in a straight line but not as much.

The key question is whether it comes on when your foot is on the brake pedal. It could be intermittent and may not come on straight away but unless it comes on when you're driving along, it is a strong contender. Cheap enough anyway to just try replacing it.

Isn't there a reset thing you can do to reset the steering angle sensors, Something to do with turning the wheels from lock to lock 3 times?

Also are your tires all at the correct pressure and evenly worn? Unequal rotation of the wheels can upset the computer. This is how the ESP knows what is going on.

changed all the pads today front and back and light still comes on

This fault has nothing to do with the brake pads. BAS is a sytem, that runs inside other circuits.

Have you changed the brake light switch before looking further.
