Bas Light

Hi have read some of the other threads relating to this problem, so sorry if considered to be a duplicate post.
I have a 2001 (W203) c230k coupe and yesterday the BAS light came on (no other warning lights) brake lights still work but have not tried the cruise control yet, is this fault likely to be the brake light switch and if so is this a removable switch, if not what else could it be.

I've previously read about 'bas' control modules/connections giving problems and causing the lamp to come on..... check all electrical plug connections around the brake servo area.

The 203 does not suffer form the same brake light switch

Poss rpm sensor or esp control unit????

The only one on its own ia BAS travel sensor at fault.

It will be recorded why not get the fault codes read out
