Battery Change and Warning Light and now 12.5 volts

HI there

Just changed the Aux 1 battery on my R230 as it was a bit sluggish starting. Now it starts much better but I've got the Red Warning light of doom but also the alternator is now only giving out 12.5 volts. It was fine so I assume there is a typically Merc bit of sophistication that needs attending to...

Any pointers ?

Ignore me ! The only thing that needed resetting was my brain. I locked the car and cycled the start stop via the key and not the keyless and now we're back to normal, no warnings and a healthy 14.2volts :¬)

Just goes to show how jumping to conclusions can lead us down the wrong path

You mean the red warning light has gone OFF.
But, what is the alternator output now..?

It's my guess it would be around the 14.2 mark?
