Battery dead & incorrect fob key

Good afternoon, My 2005 C180 has locked me out. The battery is so dead i can't open the doors. The key that came with the fob seems to be a blank key. Any ideas how to get in.
few options been suggested
Get key cut £130-150
Use something to shimy into the door and open via door latch ( high risk of damaging rubber seal)
Jack up car and find a positive point and jump it
get breakdown cover and let them do it £140ish
finally!! use a brick through the window!! £120 replacement

If anyone has been in this situation before or can give me simpler tips!!

Hello and welcome,

I'm presuming you've only 1 key - this is never a good idea (as I'm sure you'd attest...)

With your V5, proof of address and identity you can get a replacement key from Mercedes - they can provide the metal emergency key to allow you to access your car.

Seen a few posts lately about folks with one key.

if you can jack it up and get to the Alternator then thats a way, but it depends on the location of course and accessibility.

Does your breakdown cover such things - otherwise it could be expensive.

Either way a couple of keys will be needed!
