- E220 coupe 2011 2.1
I am new here and I am not really experienced too much in cars and car terms so please bear with me.
I have a Mercedes E220 Coupe, 2011. I'm finding that if I leave the car 3 or 4 days without use, my battery is not completely drained but clearly something has to be draining it somehow (I don't leave the car for this long generally however, poor health doesn't allow me to drive sometimes).
I've been told that if Bluetooth is switched on then that's what could be draining it however I've read somewhere that this could have little effect on the cars battery?
Then I've also read that Mercedes are fully aware of a defect of the ESD, they knew about it whilst still manufacturing cars and this affects certain models (including mine) between 2004 and 2022.
I've then also read that it could be the alarm system staying awake on the CAN module which is the cause of the battery drain.
Bearing in mind that the battery is less than 6 months old, and the one previous to that was just under a year, does anybody have any other suggestions before I advise my mechanic of my findings?
Not wanting to be your stereotypical woman but I'm not sure on certain jargon so could you explain a little if you do answer, thank you
