Help !!!!

Well winter is here again and my problem with battery draining has re-appeared (3 years in a row now - and still no success!) The problem only returns when the temp outside drops below zero deg.
Today, after charging the battery once again I noticed that the two Coils/solenoids under the bonnet continued to 'cycle' every 20 secs and remained hot to touch for over 5 hrs!! Three pipes are attached - two are connected to the in-car heater, and one pipe connected to the engine block.
I pulled fuse No.4 and the 'cycling' stopped and did not start to re-cycle after the fuse was refitted until I started the engine once again.
From inside the car I can hear a relay operate and a pump (??) run somewhere behind the heater/air con control unit - this is not the same electric pump that is located between the radiator & engine block.
Has anyone got any ideas??
How do I get access to the relay & pump located at the rear of the heater unit? Why would the cycling not restart after the fuse was refitted? Why does this sytem continue to run & run & run ... - and only when the outside temp drops?

Anybody got a wiring diagram?

Please, please, help.

Cheers

Ian
