Battery Flat!

Hi
Can anyone throw any light on this for me
Went to start the car today E55 and battery was flat ...totally flat ...warnings about lack of brakes on the dash etc. Suspected the battery may be a fault as I have had on a number of occassion the warning that convenience functions were switched off due to low batteryt power.
As luck would have it my Westfield was sat in the gargage with it's battery fully charged so I quickly jump started the car and ran it till the warnings were out on the dash. All OK. Went for quick drive and everything was woprking OK. Will be visiting the dealer tomorrow to get the battery checked as it had only been standing for a day!
However, the telephone, navigation and audi functions do not show in the instrument cluster now, it just says Nav_ or Audio_ no readings other than that. Command works ok and the phone and Audio are working fine. Can anyone give me any idea what is causing this and how to resolve it before I visit the dealers.

Its the perfect time of the year for batteries to go down, as the voltage got very low the chances are the the car needs re proramming,or switching on by STAR ,I would wait though till the new battery is fitted.

Hopefully it's just a re-setting thing then and will be back to normal
Huge battery, but I guess it runs an awful lot of kit.
Trip to the local stealer in the morning then!

You will always find info on here where members stress that you must get a good make, Why not go to a Bosch, Exide or Lucas agent, they are in Yellow pages and it does not cost anymore, another good source is an MB comercial dealer, they give good prices, Banner and Varta are OM suppliers.

There is an update for your command problem,its simple,just ask your dealer to slip the update CD in, and it will all come back to life.
