Battery problems?

I'm guessing that, as today is the first cold morning we have had for a long time, the warning I've got on my C220 display could mean my battery is in need of replacement.
I can't find any description of that symbol in my operator's manual.
Any assistance will be gratefully received.

Pretty clearly battery related. We all know Mercs don't like a poor battery

It happens if you are doing a lot of short runs if not a battery test will show whether it’s the alternator or battery on its way out. Time to put the battery on a CTEK charger for a few hours and then test the voltage with and without the engine running the former should be circa 12.6V and the latter circa 14.6V

Read about this same problem on another forum .. same error on the dash ..He took his car to the dealers they changed his battery but it was not resolved . The post finished there so i cant tell you how he got it fixed.

It is a strange error to show a battery and say stop vehicle.
I doubt it is battery related but more so the charging circuit.
Any car will run fine with a failing battery. Get a VM across the battery with car off first thing, with car running and a test an hour after a good run.

Cold weather identifies weak batteries, my sister called me this morning - car wont start. Popped over with some leads and a box of spanners. Got it started - drove to to motorfactors (after calling a few places for price on a good quality battery). Changed it in the car park, gave the old one back and collected my tenner for the return.

Wonder if the 2015 C220 has a facility I have on my 2008 C220. Ignition switch to Position 1, press answer call, hang up call and OK (all on the steering wheel) together, wait about 5 seconds and a sub-menu appears in the dashboard, first choice "vehicle data".Press OK, it shows battery voltage and amps. Start car and see what happens to both readings, initially the amps will go something like -110 but if alternator is OK this will swiftly change to voltage 13.5-14+ and amps to +40 or more.
