In September 2019 I purchased a new C43 AMG. From day 1 I experienced battery problems Every 4-6 days I received a message via ME app stating 12v battery critical. Also showing on dash board. In accordance with Mercedes letter I let engine tick over or run for 30-60 minutes. Only ever showed partially charged. Test were carried in 2020 but nothing was found to be at fault. Problem kept arising. In August 2021 it was decided that the battery was in fact faulty and a new was ordered from Mercedes. I am still waiting. Mercedes cannot be bothered. All I get is excuses about delivery. Over the years I have had a 280SL which I kept for 17 years no problems. I was going to think about buying new SL but no longer

Hello and welcome

The Mercedes Me app is over sensitive and a piece of tracking junk (other oppions are available)…

Tick over isn’t generally enough to get the alternator fully working

All modern vehicles are electrically complex, they don’t shut down as they used to so they’re always using power. Your Mercedes Me app is using power to tell you you’re battery is going flat…

You really have 2 options, use your car a lot more (always a pleasure with an AMG…;)) and/or get a battery conditioner and connect it up every time you get home.

I’ve 8 battery conditioners in use and some of the batteries are well over 10 years old. No starting issues on any of my vehicles and no daft app

Why are people blaming the App?
The instrument cluster is confirming a low state charge.

I have a feeling the battery is actually a capacitor here, which would explain the delay, there is a global shortage of capacitors.
As @Blobcat mentioned, get a battery conditioner hooked up and save yourself some of the headache,

Because the mercedes me adaptor which is connected to the app drawing power dnd sending data (using power) to the app on the phone and when they communicate, this uses power.

Leave your battery powered torch switched on and see what happens to the battery overnight is a simple analogy.

I am not a fan of Mercedes Me app at all, its jiust one of those gimicks thats keeps you unnessarily looking at what the car is saying. The same info you can find from the car cluster mostly.
