Hi Can Anyone Advise How To Adjust The Front Wheel Bearings On My W202 C180 1996 Model Manual Version Mercedes. Dealer Said They Need Tightning To The Torque Specification. I Would Apply Grease To Them As Well. Can This Work Be Done Easily Or Do You Have To Replace The Whole Lot.

Cheers

Remove the grease cap. Slacken the clamp bolt on the end of the nut. Whilst spinning the wheel do the nut up until the wheel starts to get harder to turn, the back off till the wheel spins freely, re fill the cap with high temp grease, and that is done.

Failure to turn the wheel while tightening could damage the bearings leading to the onset of noise and early bearing failure
