Becker Map Pilot issue

Hoping the resident gurus might have an idea for me ……
Updated the Map Pilot software and maps via Beckers own site last month and since then have been unable to use the postcode option to input addresses which, to put it mildly, is a tad annoying.
Can only input street names and a lot of the time it doesn’t find them.
Is there a config menu for the unit which is accessed when connected to the pc because I sure can’t find it on the system menus in the car?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Not sure there are many on here using Becker Map Pilot so might be quicker just going to Becker's helpline, if they have one,

We have the Becker Map Pilot, and as you say a tad annoying that it doesn't do full postcodes, it does get us there albeit on the street. though the street can be 6 miles long. We bought the card from an internet seller who said that the card was an up to date upgrade. It still only does half the postcode and not all roads are on the map if later than 2017

When I looked on the Becker site the other day, it said you can't get maps for MB from them, you have to get them from the dealer. Have you downloaded their generic maps? Are they maybe only partially compatible with MB which is why you are missing functionality? In my wife's car withe the original (all be it old) SD card, you can do full postcode search.

I downloaded the maps for the correct model and it didn’t say anything about losing functionality nor not working with MB models. Sounds like they might have deliberately failed to provide information in order to circumvent complaints.
Time for an email methinks.
