The auxiliary battery malfunction message has popped up in my 2014 e class. Looks like I need a new aux battery.
I popped my reg number into euro car parts and Halfords but neither list the aux battery. Is Mercedes the best place to purchase a replacement or can anyone recommend anywhere else I can find one?

Give MB Grangemouth a call and mention the forum. They do discounts and delivery for £5.

Thanks that is really helpful. I will make a few phone calls tomorrow but at least I now have a few places to try.

These stop start batteries do not last long at all. The auxilary battery on my W205 went last month. Looked everywhere for it in the car and couldnt find it. Some googling about and its the more "modern" type under the glovebox.
Thus, a replacement regular type was a no go and and it was MB only.....grrrrrr

The Aux battery in a W205 is not a battery, it's a bank of capacitors!

MB grangemouth was a lot cheaper than my local dealer. Tanya was £20 cheaper but I decided to go with Grangemouth in case the issue was not the actual battery. I thought if I had to take it into a MB dealer it would be better with a genuine battery.
It arrived today and I fitted it in ten minutes. The aux battery warning has now gone.
Thanks for the advice.

I've just replaced my main battery, a Varta, took the part number off the old battery, entered it into the Varta site to check, then selected the identical battery on the Tayna site rather than put my reg. number in.

Ordered it with standard delivery (2-5 days) came the following morning.

If you don't fancy fitting it yourself, Tayna will point you to a local garage they have an arrangement with - cost £15 inc. VAT.
