I just use luke warm water and a power wash, and then towel dry with a huge soft bath towel which I machine wash and then tumble dry so they stay soft.

Use the shampoo only once - to get the thick grime off. Then use a clay bar. Then rinse and wipe clean. Then apply a couple of coats of wax.

Don't use the shampoo again after that. So long as you keep waxing it regularly, it won't get dirty enough to need it. And Shampoo just removes the wax, so its a waste of time. Just use a towel and warm water. And wax it again.

Wax = good.

Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Gloss, fantastic shampoo, lovely glossy finish (certainly won't hurt wax) and you only need a tiny amount so it lasts for ages. :)
