is it possible to swap Halogen bulbs for Bi Xenon and visa versa?
I have a C200 Kompressor that came with Halogen bulbs but the manual have both bulb description in it without mentioning the clarification of swapping.

I was told that if the car came originally with Halogen you cannot place Bi Xenon bulbs in unless it was originally wired for it. They also told me that the after market kits for Xenon bulbs is not advisable.

Help

There are people who have used after market kits to convert their cars to Xenon headlamps. They usually entail addition ballest blocks attaching to the innner wings in the engine bay plus a trip to the dealers or someone with a STAR diagnostics to tell your car that it has them fitted is necessary (unless you like driving by strobe lighting).

Thank you brandwooddixon & colechelle. I will order these bright white bulbs halford has on special order. They give a similar effect and like xenon with a slight tint of blue.

horgantrevor thank you for the ebay link. I will stick to the halogen bright white ones that looks like xenon for now until my MOT which is due soon. After the MOT I will look at the full HID Xenon kit with transformers etc and get my mechanic install it. He told me since this post he has installed a few before on mercedes, bmw audi etc.
