Hi all.
Just purchased my first MB (CC220 CDI '05). Found this forum very helpful in making up my mind. However, I have a problem in that while my 'phone fits the cradle all I get on the display is the message 'No phone' Any advice much appreciated.

Congratulations on the new car.

I assume (mistake?) that the cradle is bluetooth. Have you paired the phone properly to the car?

Easiest way is to nobble a friendly teenager, who will set it up in a flash, with a disdainful look!:)

What phone is it? Some older (6320/6320i) Nokias fit but don't work.
To begin with though, remove and refit the cradle. There is a small release button (top left). Press it and slide the cradle down. Blow on the contacts and refit - it normally works for me.

Hi all, thanks for the advice/welcome. Cradle is not bluetooth and its seems that as jberks suggests that it's for an older 'phone. Thinking of going the extra few pounds for a bluetooth cradle to make it more easier to change 'phones.
Thanks again.

Have a look at the Viseeo unit http://www.comandonline.co.uk. Not only is it cheaper than the official unit, it's software upgradeable so more future proof. Seems a better bet to me.

Thanks jberks,
Had a look at the site, seems to be the most sensible direction to take.
