How on earth do you get a clean inside of the windscreen ??
I have used glass cleaners, and at first all seems fine, then the smear and fog comes back again, awful in low sun. This is just not one car but all three we own, no one smokes in them, blasting screen with aircon does not work,
tried washing inside with soupy water, same result.
tried cleaning with clean microfiber cloth, same result
tried screen cleaner from motor store, same result
tried Tesco glass cleaner, same result

The trick if using supermarket glass cleaner on the interior of a windscreen (I find) is in the level of pressure and constant circular motions with the cloth after application.

It’s possible to achieve a good finish with supermarket glass cleaner and a cloth but there’s a significant degree of prolonged elbow grease required to get rid of the smearing that you’re experiencing. I’ve also found it necessary to do the work at the time of low light, so I can see where the remaining smears are, otherwise I walk away thinking I’ve done a good job, and then curse endlessly when the sun starts to drop and I find myself staring through smears.

I suspect the Auto Glym stuff linked to above makes the job easier, but I’ve never used it, so I can’t speak from experience.

Think we may have the reason , unless it was carrot which should ,in theory, improve the view.

Never had a problem with the interior glass , plenty of elbow grease (not on the screen) and a decent cleaner should do the job.

I alternate between using a damp chamois leather and auto glym glass cleaner on blue roll paper (but I am not saying other glass cleaners would not work too)

I then immediately dry the screen off with fresh dry "blue roll" paper. Usually works but the screen does not stay clean long during the summer so it is a process worth repeating frequently.

It does indeed, you use it like a car polish so apply, leave to dry them polish off when it goes milky

Cant's say I've ever experienced problems cleaning the inside of the screen or any of the other glass bits. Windolene and kitchen roll are my "go to" products.

Wet chamois then dry with the good old newspaper always and it’s tried and tested from years gone by.

What's a 'newspaper'?

Okay, for the less techy of us, it is a paper sheet made from timber which is sliced thinly and written on with ink informing very truthful information about the world........also referred to as the Sun :p

key is using fresh towel/paper for each application rubbing, then fresh towel/paper for each buffing.
If using the same cloth, thats your problem.
I aways use the huge car rolls from Lidl. Fresh tissue every time.

Used to be, wipe the screen with cut end of a humble spud, polish off with 'Ink' printed crumpled newspaper.
Have to be any papery paper these days, and do today's spuds lack the necessary anti streak ingredient whatever
that was.........probably taste !

These ink free newspaper days, you may have to substitute a crumpled up illuminated (plenty of ink) vellum ancient manuscript.
