I have just had to invest in a new wiring loom for my 280te (dont laugh).

The car now starts but at tick over doesnt hold its idle very well.

Also it blows out an awful amount out black smoke onto the ground???

Any ideas please as it has already cost me a fortune for the loom.

Thanks

Have you connected the Lambda sensor, did the car have a head gasket problem recently and was it part of the fix, Does the car run happily even with the smoke.
